One of two men accused in the slaying of Hamilton teenager Joey Tanner will again appear in court this fall.
Joseph Daniel Nicholson, 21, faces first-degree murder charges. He will face a pre-trial hearing on Nov.3.
Tanner and an Alliston man were involved in a skirmish with two men outside an east-end apartment complex on the morning of June 16, 2007. Both men were stabbed and transported to another location, where they were left on the street. Tanner, 16, and Jeremy Rogers, 19, were rushed to hospital, where Tanner died of his wounds that afternoon. Rogers recovered and was released from hospital a week later.
Nicholson and Matthew Massey, now 20, were arrested that night on Toronto Street.
Earlier this month, Massey was handed a 44-month sentence, after pleading guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
